Thermal Imaging
Our inspectors are Certified Residential Thermographers trained to locate and identify problem areas.
Thermal imaging is especially useful for detecting water leaks and locating under the floor and in-ceiling heating systems. The inspector will scan the building, and if there are indications of water leaks, they will follow up with a moisture meter to determine if this is an active or inactive leak. Although thermal imaging is a valuable resource, it does not give the inspector x-ray vision. The thermal camera only indicates differences in surface temperatures and requires professionally trained technicians to interpret the readings. Our inspectors are Certified Residential Thermographers trained to locate and identify problem areas.
